Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to provide high-quality nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry settings. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and comfort for all patients.

Requirements:

- Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice

- Experience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursing

- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills

- Proficient in monitoring cardiac telemetry and recognizing arrhythmias

- Knowledge of medication administration and patient safety protocols

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- Ability to document patient care accurately and timely

- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

- Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and moving patients

- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development

- Adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements

- Compassionate and patient-focused approach

- Ability to educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance

Education & Experience

• Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or a Nurse Compact License (NSL)
• BSN preferred.
• Two years of recent (within the past 12 months) relevant clinical hospital nursing experience in a comparable setting (See attached Professional Self-assessment skills checklist).
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Preferred

Compensation:

$55/hr Flat Rate
