This role owns portfolio management, capacity planning, stage-gate governance, and cross-functional coordination for the Data, Data Science & AI (DDSAI) Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS) team, working closely with partner teams across TDS, DDSAI, and J&J Technology. You will ensure the team's project portfolio is prioritized, resourced, tracked, and delivering measurable value against TDS's digital strategy.</p><p></p><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p><b>Portfolio & Program Management</b></p><p>· Own the team's project portfolio process: intake, prioritization, sequencing, resource allocation, and stage-gate progression across all active workstreams.</p><p>· Maintain portfolio-level dashboards, status reporting, and value-realization tracking for leadership visibility.</p><p>· Manage dependencies across lighthouse projects, foundational workstreams, and cross-functional partner deliverables.</p><p><b>Capacity Planning & Resource Coordination</b></p><p>· Forecast and manage team capacity across projects; flag conflicts and propose rebalancing to leadership.</p><p>· Coordinate onboarding of new hires, consultants, and external collaborators into active projects.</p><p>· Partner with Finance on budget tracking, headcount planning, and investment case development.</p><p><b>Governance & Operating Rhythm</b></p><p>· Operationalize the TDS digital stage-gate framework for the DDSAI team's contributions.</p><p>· Lead and facilitate project and portfolio review meetings, sprint planning and review meetings, stand-ups and retrospectives internal to the team and with cross-functional partners.</p><p>· Maintain governance artifacts: RACI matrices, risk registers, decision logs, and lessons learned.</p><p><b>Stakeholder Coordination</b></p><p>· Serve as the primary coordination point between DDSAI-TDS and TDS, JJT and DDSAI cross-functional teams.</p><p>· Support leadership in preparing materials for Digital Board reviews, LT updates, and DDSAI capability reviews.</p><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p></p><p><b>Required</b></p><p>· Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, scientific, or business discipline.</p><p>· 6+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or operational leadership in R&D, technology, or data science organizations.</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder project portfolios with competing priorities and resource constraints.</p><p>· Strong skills in capacity planning, financial tracking, and governance frameworks.</p><p>· Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project) and executive reporting.</p><p>· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.</p><p></p><p><b>Preferred</b></p><p>· Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, life sciences, or regulated environments.</p><p>· Familiarity with agile delivery practices and stage-gate governance models.</p><p>· PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.</p><p>· Experience supporting data science, AI/ML, or digital transformation teams.</p><p></p><p><b>Why This Role Is Unique</b></p><p>This role sits at the center of one of J&J's fastest-growing R&D Data Science teams, ensuring that a portfolio spanning applied AI/ML, operations research, GenAI, and foundational data capabilities delivers against TDS's most ambitious digital transformation goals.
