NESD Test Engineer | Active Secret clearance

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Test Engineer, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Navy Enterprise Service Desk team.Provide Software Test and Evaluation Capability - plan, prepare, and perform testing, evaluation, verification, and validation of software to evaluate results against specifications, requirements, and operational need.Team lead role, responsible for providing guidance and leadership to test team members. (Not a people manager)Lead QA efforts for BMC Helix, ensuring automated ticketing, anomaly detection, and incident lifecycle management function properly.Developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure that software meets specifications, requirements, and operational needsConducting unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing to identify and report defects and discrepanciesPrepare and deliver reports and advance analysis related to past performance and future effortsVerifying that software meets functional and non-functional requirements, including security, usability, and accessibilityValidating that software meets operational needs and user expectations, including conducting user acceptance testing and feedback sessionsIdentifying and reporting defects and discrepancies, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues and implement fixesDeveloping and maintaining test environments, including test data, test scripts, and test tools. Ensuring methodology and procedures meet company and industry standardsConducting testing and evaluation of software in various environments, including development, staging, and productionConducting testing and evaluation of capabilities against various hardware, operating systems, software versions, and environmentsCollaborating with stakeholders to develop and refine testing and evaluation strategies, including identifying and prioritizing testing objectives and scopeProviding testing and evaluation results and recommendations to stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and operational users WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your test engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT.
